DUE$

Donate to P.O.C. so we can continue fighting for your Rights:

Your dues will be SUBSTANTIALLY CHEAPER THAN CAUSE / CSLEA!

Peace Officers of California (P.O.C.) has already contracted with Marty Morgenstern to act as our chief negotiator. California Strategies will act as government relations consultants and lobbyists.  Paul Barty is our General Manager.  P.O.C. will employ a Chief Legal Council responsible for advising the board, along with other labor representatives, attorneys, and support staff as necessary.  We will have an office in Sacramento, with satellite offices for labor staff as necessary.  P.O.C. will negotiate with PORAC for Legal Defense along with 60,000 other State Peace Officers and send representatives to sit on their board.

P.O.C. guarantees each affiliate their fair share of release time and dues money  – and if you do not think this is a big deal then you should talk to the over 1,000 employees that have been placed in “trusteeship" (=expelled)  they will tell you how they have had their affiliate dues seized and their rights taken away.  Affiliates of P.O.C. are free to disagree, without fear of reprisal.  What has it come to when a union with Peace Officers cannot even get vote records or financial documents regarding their own dues money?

P.O.C. will have encrypted interactive user profiles for every member, so you can see what services you are paying for and choose benefits you want to pay for.  We will allow you to customize your membership in every way, including receiving union updates and notices.  You will be able to view financial documents with detailed accounting and vote records to support them.  If you do not like how the union is running vote in a new officers and board member – something you can’t do at CAUSE / CSLEA.

This is about money, but not just for pay increases.  The President of CAUSE / CSLEA thinks your dues money is his money.  He does not want to give up his stipend, car, insurance, gas card, and unlimited expense account – we say unlimited because nobody knows how much money he has been paid – Alan Barcelona even refused to give an accounting of union expenses to a sitting board member of CAUSE / CSLEA.  Why did the Wardens and Park Rangers get kicked out of CAUSE / CSLEA?  Because they started asking questions.

P.O.C. is a new type of union.  One established on democratic principles, with transparency.  15-years of the same leadership’s bad decision making and the pay disparity between bargaining unit 7 members and other Peace Officers has never been worse.

Whom do you think the Governor or the Legislature is more likely to give a pay increase in tough times – P.O.C. CAUSE / CSLEA?

You can be part of the change to help State Peace Officers gain pay-parity:
